PERT is another acronym that stands for project (or program) evaluation and review technique. It provides a graphical view of the project’s tasks, schedule and timelines. A PERT chart is not a Gantt chart, though similar. Gantt charts are bar graphs, while a PERT is free form. PERT charts are made of nodes, boxes or circles that represent milestones.
