Terminology without Borders new website The Terminology Coordination Unit of the European Parliament launched the new website yourterm.org.  This website is dedicated to the “Terminology without Borders” project organized in collaboration with EU and UN Agencies and other international organisations. It reflects and supports the goal of the European Parliament’s Directorate-General for Translation (DG TRAD) to communicate with citizens in clear language. The main goal of the project is to enhance communication in a number of domains by tailoring terminology to citizens’ needs. This aim is achieved using several multilingual projects. Each one of these projects contains terminology resources for Education, Medicine, Culture, Women Rights and Marine & Fisheries issues. The terminology work will be done by linguistic departments of universities in their language and the entries will be revised by experts of the participating international organisations. The final outcome of these projects will also be used to enrich IATE following the required validation by terminologists of the EU institutions. By clicking on each button on the homepage, you access the projects about Education, Medicine, Culture, Women Rights and Marine & Fisheries containing useful resources for consultation and for use by the participants for their work on the project, related articles, information about the ongoing cooperation with TermCoord and the results of the terminology work as soon as we receive them. If you want to participate in one of these projects please fill the “Collaboration Request” form you will fin in this page.
